Der Märklin UFS 7244 (Universal FernSchalter) mit seinen vier Umschaltkontakten ist unverseller einsetzbar als der alte UFS 7245, aber man braucht selten so viele Umschalter auf einmal. Besser wären 2 x 2 Umschalter wie bei dem Viessmann Relais 5552. Das läßt sich aber ganz einfach selber machen. Da der UFS zwei Miniaturrelais mit je 2 Umschaltern enthält muß man nur an den angegebenen Stellen zwei Leiterbahnen durchtrennen (rote Pfeile) und 2 blaue Kabel zusätzlich anlöten (grüne Pfeile). Soll der UFS an Wechselstrom betrieben werden, müssen noch zwei Dioden ran (z.B. 1N 4002). Das gelbe Kabel versorgt beide Relais mit der Versorgungsspannung. Ich betreibe so modifizierte UFS schon über ein Jahr im Märklin Digitalsystem und es gab keine Probleme.
The Märklin 7244 relay with its four two-way contacts is better than the old relay 7245, but who needs that many switches at one time? 2 x 2 switches would be better, like the Viessmann relay 5552. To modify the 7244 is quite easy. The 7244 contains two miniature relays with 2 switches inside. It is important to break the connections at two points (red arrows) and solder on the 2 blue cables (green arrows). To use the relay with alternating current, two diodes (e.g. 1N 4002) must be installed. The yellow cable supplies both relays with supply voltage. I use these modified relays for more than a year in the Märklin digital system without any problems.
